Anne Burrell
Anne W. Burrell was a television personality, a ex-chef of the Institute of Culinary Education and formerly teaches cooking. She hosts the Food Network's Secrets of a Restaurant Chef and also serves as co-hosting Worst Cooks in America. Ann Burrell's Food Network show Secrets of a Restaurant chef is a hit with her signature spikey blonde locks and pump up personality, provides simple techniques that any person can master. Chef Burrell was a student and worked at the top New York restaurants. He also battled Iron Chef America and the food scene of Italy. Growing up in upstate New York, Chef Burrell developed a passion for cooking and eating at an early age. She pursued her passion for the restaurant industry by enrolling in The Culinary Institute of America following the completion of a bachelor's degree in English and Communication from Canisius College, Buffalo NY. I was awed by every minute that I was a student of The Culinary Institute of America she states. The Culinary Institute of America was a great location to learn. Following her graduation, Chef Burrell went on to spend one period of time in Italy studying at Italy's Italian Culinary Institute for Foreigners and working in La Taverna del Lupo in Umbria as well as La Bottega del 30 a one Michelin-starred restaurant located in Tuscany. She gained a deeper understanding of Italian culinary and cultural traditions during her stay in Italy, which has influenced her cooking style. Burrell is an ambassador for the celebrity chef to the Juvenile Diabetic Research Foundation and was a part of the Garden of Dreams Foundation Advisory Board, which helps children with obstacles. In her capacity as a speaker, Burrell is on the road to talk about her love of food as well as her career in the culinary field. Throughout Anne's culinary journey she often says that she feels very fortunate to share what I love most for life with people.
