Eva Mendes is both an actress and model. Eva Mendes was first discovered by a talent agent who saw her potential. They advised her that she could pursue a position in the entertainment industry. The university she attended dropped her after much deliberation to pursue a career in entertainment. In the film Children of the Corn V Fields of Terror she debuted and was disappointed with her performance. It took her a long period of time to refine her acting skills and was featured in numerous low-budget productions in order to demonstrate her abilities. The journey of the actor wasn't easy however, his tenacity and determination were recognized. Her acting career took off following her not only praise but also acknowledgement for her performance on Training Day.
